Ramblings About The Phantom of the Opera
Okay, I'll admit it, I'm obsessed with The Phantom of the Opera. I can't help it, I just love that story. I don't know how many times I've written about it. I suppose what I like about the story is how hopelessly weird it is - I mean, it's a love story about a stalker. You just don't see that kind of thing anymore. In fact, the Phantom was really creepy: for instance, in the book, when he describes Christine, he says, "she was as beautiful as if she were dead." Now, really think about what exactly that implies about the Phantom, and when it's come to you, go vomit.
